Gottesman holds a BFA in dance from Ohio University, and an MFA in dance choreography & technology from The Ohio State University. His research focuses on the use of advanced technologies in dance theatre performance including telematics (live Internet broadcast), interactive media, and processed video with movement in live performance. He held a lectureship and staff position in the Maggie Allesee Department of Dance from 2002 to 2008. Gottesman is currently the multimedia specialist in the Media Arts area of the Department of Communication at WSU where he continues to teach, challenging traditional approaches to education and production. You can probably find him behind a camera mastering his cinematography skills or assisting a student with their Avid Media Composer conundrums.

Corina Marie Howell
Corina Marie Howell hails from the San Francisco Bay Area and is the child of two public high school English teachers. She was discouraged from watching too much television and movies as a child, and hence, went from schooling straight into entertainment.
Her career began as a photo editor and producer in the entertainment world working for the publication Movieline's Hollywood Life and then later The Hollywood Reporter. Now, as a photographer, Corina has worked with many celebrities of film, tv, and music as well as companies like Paul Mitchell, NYX Cosmetics, iHeartRadio, HBO, Jbrand Jeans and more. In the last few years she has also been directing motion work including interview segments, commercials, and narrative film.
Corina is married to a Danish software developer and is the proud servant to two cats, Crouton and Capone.
Francesca Fini is an interdisciplinary artist focusing on new media, experimental cinema and performance art. She lives and works in Rome. The focus of her work is always the body and its own narrative power, in that border region where performance art and cinema hybridize, creating a new synthesis in the contemporary transmedia art practice.
Among the most important art events in which she took part in the last few years, we would mention the 2011 WRO Biennale in Poland, Currents New Media in Santa Fe, CINEMED Film Festival in Montpellier, NordArt International Art Exhibition, Berlin Directors Lounge and IKONO TV Film Festival in Germany, Videoformes Festival in Clermont Ferrand, Szczecin European Film Festival (SEFF) in Poland, FILE Electronic Language International Festival in Brasil, Athens Videoart Festival, IVHAM New Media Arts Fest and Proyector Festival in Madrid, CYBERFEST and Now&After in Russia, Videoart Yearbook and Robot Festival in Bologna, Instants Video numériques et poétiques in Marseille, MEM Festival at the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao and the Japan Media Arts Festival in Tokyo.
In 2012 she has been invited to the first Venice International Performance Art Week, featuring among the others the work of Valie Export, Jan Fabre, Yoko Ono, Marina Abramovic and Hermann Nitsch. In 2013 she won the FONLAD Performance Art Residency in Coimbra and was invited in Chicago for the Rapid Pulse Performance Art Festival. In 2014 she has been selected for the Margaret Guthman Musical Instrument Competition, organized by the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta.
In 2014 and 2016 she was artist in residence at Bob Wilson's Watermill Center in New York. In 2016 she wrote and directed Ophelia did not drown; an experimental feature film based on the hybridization between found-footage (from the national archive Istituto Luce Cinecittà) and original contemporary performative language. The film premiered in New York, Clermont-Ferrand and at Macro Contemporary Museum in Rome. That same year she wrote and directed Gold - looking for Oz, a 60 minutes experimental documentary produced during an art residency in Jerusalem and financed by Musrara Mix Festival.
She is cited by Treccani Encyclopedia as one of the greatest exponents of cyber-performance in Italy.

Based in Los Angeles, Ashley hails from the Tar Heel state, North Carolina where she received an undergraduate degree in Media Productions from UNC-Chapel Hill. She received her MFA from the School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California.
In 2014, Ashley was proud to be featured by the DGA Women’s Steering Committee as a director who represents “the future of women in film.” And — more recently, Ashley was awarded the 2016 BPW Hollywood Young Professional.
When she’s not running her own production, Ashley is a freelancer hired to direct, write, and/or capture location sound for feature & short films, web series, 360 videos, and television commercials. She also teaches Sound Mixing at USC and UCLA.

Writer/Director/Producer TINA LOVE is an award-winning filmmaker whose passion for dance began in the mid 1980s when she studied ballet and modern dance at Broadway Dance Center in New York City. Tina attended Brooks Institute's film-school in Ventura, California from 2002-2004. In 2001 she began taking flamenco in Santa Barbara. Tina has written and directed films that premiered at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival and screened at other festivals garnering awards. Most recently, her feature film script “The Red Shoes” was an Official Finalist of the New York Screenplay Contest (Sept. 2016) and ZED Fest, and an earlier draft in the top 10% of Academy Nicholl submissions (2016), just missing the Quarterfinalists. (She resubmitted this year.) Her short film “Duende: The Red Shoes,” an adapted scene from her feature script, was in several film festivals. It won Best Dance Film at Ladyfilmmakers Film Festival in Beverly Hills (September 2016). The festival directors stated “Duende” stood out from other dance movie submissions for its successful integration of dance and story. Tina hopes to direct the feature. “Duende” will premiere on TV on Shorts HD this summer, along with another of her shorts “Destroying Angel.” Tina has other spec feature screenplays (including the pilot "Hailstorm" for a dramatic series project about Galileo) . Tina is a seasoned film editor of five feature length films and many short films and bio portraits. All the while, she continues to nurture her flamenco dance training and knowledge and performs in Santa Barbara and LA. In 2016 Tina started a documentary about Inesita, a women she has performed the last 6 years with in LA: “Flamenco: The Enduring Art of Inesita.”

Monika Watkins is a television producer, documentary filmmaker and the director, producer and editor of the animated, short film, From Selma to New York. She has contributed to a number of black history documentaries that have aired on television and at festivals such as Urbanworld Film Festival in New York, Chicago’s International Film Festival, the Pan African Film Festival in LA and the International DocuFest in her hometown of Atlanta. She uses her filmmaking skills to advocate for non-profit organizations doing important work in the world and to that end has directed videos for the Embody Love Movement, HRC, the Boys and Girls Club and LaunchAbility. She is honored to participate as an instructor and program director of the inaugural Nate Parker Summer Film Institute at Wiley College.

Sonia Lowman is Director of Communications for an international educational non-profit and she just completed her first film on educational inequality. Prior, Sonia worked in myriad international contexts that included: managing communications for International Medical Corps, a humanitarian relief organization with operations in 30-plus countries; running an International Monetary Fund youth outreach initiative in the Middle East for Arab university students; and contributing to policy papers on international women’s rights for several NGOs, including the United Nations. She has a Master’s degree from the London School of Economics.Interests

Predominantly a writer (screenplays, comedy content, script consultation), I've been pushing into the production side of filmmaking for the past two and a half years on small films in the DC region. I've worked as co-producer, 1st AD, Wardrobe Designer, HMUA, and as a PA in set design and other departments.
After being selected for Sundance's Latino Screenwriting Project (a three-day writing lab for Latino screenwriters), and winning the Virginia Screenwriting Competition, both for my feature-length magical realist script, THE RADISH BABY, I decided to direct my first short.
One of my Sundance lab advisors, Michael Tully (PING PONG SUMMER; SEPTIEN), lives in Austin, TX - a great location for a short film I had written about a multi-generational Latina family called, THESE COLORS DON'T RUN. In no time at all, he had attached another producer, Wilson Smith (KRISHA), and I was in Texas shooting my film!
THESE COLORS DON'T RUN, is a short comedy with cojones y corazón ("balls and heart") based loosely on my experiences growing up as a creative kid in a religious family whose rules always made it difficult for me to follow my instincts, or to make anyone (including myself) happy. The main character in her adult form, "Yola" was inspired by a character from my Radish Baby script.
THESE COLORS DON'T RUN is a recipient of a 2016-2017 Arlington Spotlight Grant given to individual artists residing in Arlington, VA.
I am a member of WIFV DC, Arlington Independent Media, and the National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP).
My hope is for THESE COLORS DON'T RUN to work as its own endeavor, but also to help to grow interest in my feature-length screenplay, which I plan to direct as well. In the end, my greatest desire is for connection, for people like girls, women, latinos, and people who feel, "outside" in various ways, to feel seen, and hopefully understood - to have their under-represented faces and stories on the screen, and to know they have value.

Film is an art form that is still under investigation as a tool to understand life and all it’s mysteries. As a filmmaker and creative architect, Julianne uses film in a very unique way, as a medium for inquiry into understanding life. Her unique eye for beauty, and authenticity as an artist, can be seen in her films, photographs and art. She is curious, courageous and continues to ask questions. She is a story collector.
Julianne began her film career in New York City while studying graphic design at the School for Visual Arts. When she relocated to Los Angeles, this grew into a call-to-action format through her film work. She saw film as the most powerful tool for global transformation which lead her to begin mentoring young women around the world through outreach programs about leadership and personal development. Using her real-life experience as a filmmaker traveling through impoverished areas of the East, Julianne has proven her extensive background in journalism and documentary filmmaking. Stories are what drive her to change the world. To her everything is story. She dives into political campaigns, environmental issues, social and equal-rights issue, as a reflection of hope with a camera, creating a voice for those that need to be heard. Her magnetism to beauty juxtaposition to important causes such as sex-tracking in Kolkata, is a unique blend, that gives her a sophisticated eye for the unseen.
She has a diverse background both coming from business and art. After receiving a degree in Social Economics and Photography, she became the Advertising Manager for one the largest publishing companies in the U.S., Cahners Publishing, in New Jersey. In 2003, Julianne moved to Los Angeles and started a media company, Digital Via, later evolved into Romanski Films.
Julianne has been awarded several awards, but is most noted for the scholarship awarded for “her excellence in the arts” from the Charles Forbes Foundation. Julianne has her own individualistic style, driven by a deep desire to study life, people, eco-systems, and indigenous cultures. She works at the grass-roots level; having produced the first Topanga Film Festival, Agnapot Film Festival, which launched her directorial debut of a short film about breast cancer, which later was selected for the New York Independent International Film Festival.
Julianne’s film work has appeared in, “No Subtitles Necessary,” 2010 Emmy Nomination, “Breast’s”, a short documentary she directed about breast cancer, Official Selection for the New York Independent International Film Festival, “Transcendence”, Official Selection for the Topanga Film Festival, and “Titans of Yoga”, a feature length film with yoga leaders from around the world, My Heart’s Song, Story of Hazrat Inayat Khan, Yoga Maya, “Bhairavi”, Official Selection for the American Dance Festival, for Farewell to Harry, Best Film at the Seattle International Film Festival, and many more independent feature films and branded content. In 2010 she had the honor to film, Wangari Maathai, 2004 Nobel Price Winner from Africa.
Julianne has filmed some the top spiritual, musical and scientific masters in the world, which includes, Pir Zia Inayat-Khan, Krishna Das, Mooji, Amritananda Guruji, Swami Vidyadhishananda, Dr. Krishna Kant Shukla, Jai Uttal, Dave Stringer, Deva Premal & Mitten, David Newman (Durga Das) and Mark S.G. Dyczkowski.
Her photographic works have appeared in Yoga Journal, Yoga Times, Whole Life Times, Flavorpill, and Common Ground Magazine, Tathaastu Magazine, Yoga International, Yoga Journal Australia, Ojai Foundation Quarterly and South China Morning Post.
Currently, Julianne is in post-production for her second documentary film, called “The Mother Matrix”, shot in the villages of southern India. Her short film, about the international dancer, Colleena Shakti, will be featured in the Unplugged Film Festival. She is also the Executive Producer for the documentary, Redemption, in light of Duga, which addresses sex-trafficing in Kolkata, India.
